I hate mocking a team the day before a game. It's always struck me as foolish. Why give the other team any extra incentive? Granted, you were in fine humor, Doc. Just maybe not the best time for it. Seen far too many upsets that were considered impossible beforehand.
I expect a completely different, surprising game plan from John Harbaugh, especially on defense. He's 10x brainier than Taylor. I think we'll see super smash mouth football from the Ravens, too. I prefer to wait till the game's over to yuck it up. Call me conservative. That's fine. They called Paul Brown the same thing.
I like the experiment with the auto umps. It works dam(n) good in tennis. I do wish they would outlaw the whole catcher framing thing. It's part of why human umps have struggled. The computer umps aren't distracted by framing one bit. They have an unfair advantage. Therefore, ban framing. Real umps would appear better immediately. End of controversy.

All the replay is dotted-lined to gambling. Calls have to be “right”. College hoops games are now 20 minutes longer because the refs are scared to make a call.
Bengals should roll. But I remember when Peyton and The Colts lost to a Phillip-less Rivers Chargers team in the wild card round to Billy Freaking Volek.
My biggest gripe to an auto strike zone is the lack of Eric Gregg 3rd strike call. Demonstrative, aggressive, and masculine.
There seems to be a question of whether the Ravens played dirty last week. A few Bengals have said they would settle that on the field tomorrow night. Fist fests aren’t ever good for the MVP…the Most Vulnerable Player on a team. We all don’t want to say what could end this game quickly but many of us will be holding our breath when Home Alone drops back to throw.
Bengals should win, but I've been a Cincinnati sports fan long enough to know nothing is guaranteed.
Also, even if the Bengals win, how banged up will they be after the fact? AFC North teams take pride in beating the hell out of each other and last week's game was already chippy.
Until I see the electronic ump thing work in person (or on TV), I will reserve most of my judgement, other than to say it sounds stupid, upon first glance. Baseball is supposed to be pastoral. You can't have robots out in the pasture. It sounds like it should be part of that great George Carlin monologue about Baseball and Football.
I don't like the ban of the shift in one way (because hitters were either too stupid or too arrogant not to go the other way), but I am excited about the possibility of more base hits and more running involved in the game and less Earl Weaver wait for the 3-run homer ball.
The Ravens nightmare thing made me laugh out loud in sections. Lol (that's redundant, isn't it?)!

Electronic strike zone? Can we also attach a small collar to the pitcher to provide a 'slight correction' if he takes longer than Tom Browning to throw the next pitch? Or, maybe zap the bats if a hitter adjusts his gloves more than once every 10 seconds?
Just give remote controls to all of the ushers, we'll be out of there in 2 hours!
