Interesting tune. PAC Man, really? Not a fan and I can’t believe the Brown family would do that. It’s a smack in the face to all police officers and law abiding people!

Adam Jones is a complicated person. There is no denying the mistakes made off the field. The passion and competitiveness and outstanding ability he demonstrated on the field are equally undeniable. In his post-NFL life he has chosen to make his home here in the area and, as Doc points out, has devoted himself to the children of a deceased Teammate; a commitment that not everyone would be willing to make. For my part, I greatly appreciate Adam the player and Teammate and I hope that life goes well (and uneventful) for him going forward. So, in the end, I have no problem with him as King of the Jungle.

For what it's worth, the irony (and absurdity) of Pete betting on baseball in the stadium will not be lost on anyone. He deserves to be in the HOF before he passes on.

I think Jones has an alcohol problem and if he drinks too much he finds trouble. He was part of the reason we lost the play off game in 2015. I don’t know that he should be king of anything. It’s great that he took in Henry’s children but the fact he beat someone unconscious last year shows he hasn’t really changed very much. I don’t think he should be celebrated by the Bengals

So true..."No matter how you look at it, life is never black or white, but always gray."

Yellowstone is my favorite TV show. Kevin Costner is always sexy, whether it is A Field of Dreams or Yellowstone. Yes, Beth Dutton is a bad ass... I have a t-shirt that says, "Somewhere between Proverbs 31 and Beth Dutton, there is me!"

It looks like the Bengals might be masters of the really gray areas. We may find out that Hamilton County gets nothing in the stadium naming rights deal because, minus the Paycor luxury box and non-naming rights advertising purchases, the cost to name the stadium falls below the threshold where the county starts collecting some of the naming money for it’s own use. Amazing.

You couldn't be more right about Beth Dutton.

Maybe she could straighten out Pacman.

Sorry, but doing a great deed and some other good deeds does not excuse or make up for a life of riots and shootings in a strip bar, beating people senseless, spitting on cops and wishing they would due, ECT ECT ECt. There has to be hundreds of ex-Bengals and thousands of Bengal fans that I would feel a lot better about being the "ruler"of anything

I’m Camp “There are a million better choices than Pac-Man”. We’ve watched The Sinner and enjoyed it. We weren’t sure a new season was out. We’ll definitely watch. Huuuuuge Yellowstone fans. Terrific characters, writers, and scenery. I haven’t watched two minutes of the World Series. The Reds’ incompetence from top to bottom and flailing for a “Reds Way” have put my interest in MLB into long-term storage. My hope is that a time capsule wouldn’t be more appropriate.

I had to hold my nose when Pac-Man was on our team. Yes, a gifted athlete and playmaker but an embarrassment to Bengals fans for his actions both off the field and on the field (the Steeler playoff game meltdown). A very small percent of elite athletes who somehow believe that life’s rules don’t apply to them. Glad to see that he has finally matured and now doing good deeds for others.

People don't realize the Phillies allowed the Astros to no-hit them last night to lull the Stros and their crazed betting fans into a false sense of security. And secondly, by betting on the Series, I feel like I'm telling MLB I support their desire to make us fans into gamblers, so, in a sense, I am being a much better fan. As I type this, I'm patting myself on the back for helping save MLB. And here I used to think Draft Kings was a cruddy draft beer from Coors.

PacMan is a classic case of bi-polar. Great football player, hair trigger temper, total loss of control when asked to rein himself in. Popular on the field with fans? Mostly. Popular off the field? Not so much. Wild swings between criminal and kind behaviors. Personally I think his type of personality disorder is detrimental to most teams both in the locker room and on the field, because it's very unpredictable. It can come out at the worst possible moments....say, a Steeler playoff game. I always rooted for him to get his head on straight, because he was such a warrior. As for Mike Brown referencing himself as a redeemer, which I remember him doing, I think that was the beginning of my deep and undying disgust and dislike towards him. He wouldn't remove himself as GM despite his decades of failure, and then he claims he's a Redeemer? Sorry, that's my definition of a self-serving jerk.

There is nothing gray about PacMan’s arrest record. There is nothing gray about his efforts with Special Olympics and Chris Henry’s kids. We can recognize the good and the bad in the man but there is no need to blend the two together just to fill a plastic seat in an imaginary jungle.

Good post. Also, saw your late reply re:Southern goofballs on yesterday’s story. Couldn’t agree with you more. If you’re gonna call out people from the south that you find reprehensible and not include The Clinton’s then you’re just flat out not being honest with yourself

I disagree with your assessment. Now....let's see how honest you are, Harry. Are you a Trump guy? Do you view him as the most persecuted politician in American history?

What’s that got to do with my post? Do you find the Clintons reprehensible or not?

It has everything to do with your post. I only let people question my honesty who are impeccably honest themselves. Since you dodged my question, seems to me honesty is hardly a word you are qualified to use around me.

Personally I loved many things the Clintons did. A few things weren't so great. Now...put on your big boy pants and answer my questions. Show me how honest YOU are.

I attended the last home game against the Falcons. It was my first Bengals game in roughly 5 years. I was excited to see this Ruler of the Jungle thing they've started. We were in our seats prior to the anthem and the awesome flyover. But I never saw Devon and Leah Still. I don't know where or when they celebrate these folks each week.

So because of that...I'm not sure it really matters that it's Pacman this week. It seems like whatever ceremony they hold, it must happen really early before the game and then that's it. Also...nobody is perfect. Do you ban folks from your family events if they occasionally have run-ins with the law? Pacman is an ex-Bengal and one that was generally loved here in Cincy. Let him be king cheerleader for a game. That's really all this title seems to be.

Understandable, for sure.

I guess my main beef with choosing PacMan to wear any sort of crown stems from my suspicion that if he had taken a knee during the Anthem, rather than verbally abusing a cop and beating a guy senseless, Mike Brown's forbearance might be a tad thinner. Something about that rubs me the wrong way.

I'm enjoying the WS this year. I've never disliked the Phillies and I've never liked the Astros. But I do like Dusty. What I really like is the way these two teams play. They steal bases; they hustle. They swing the bat. There is plenty of Star Power, but no Prima donnas. I find myself rooting for Philly. But I'll be really glad for DB if Houston wins.
