Good call on the Steely Dan tune. FWIW, I watch a YT channel run by Rick Beato. He’s a music industry pro who takes deep dives on why popular songs over the last 50 yrs are great. It can sometimes be a little too inside baseball but you will be musically smarter after watching.

Don’t really care if The Men win or lose. I was bengalized by previous iterations of The Team and The Owner. That kind of trauma is hard to shake. It’s nice to see the joy they’re bringing the city.
I would be in for $80 a year, easily. For what it’s worth, this is the only column I’ve ever gone hunting for. The only one that ever managed, by itself, to keep me a subscriber to an entire newspaper. For less than $7 per month, that’s a great deal.
Head coach Reid may be a Hall of Fame coach, but there are better coaches folks. Been to the Championships 9 times! 3 Super Bowl appearances and 1 win. He can be outcoached when he gets to this level. Taylor proved it last year!
The $80 a year would be MUCH cheaper than our Gannett paper here in the toe of Indiana -- it charges $80/MONTH. Not sure if I’d pay $80/month for TML, but I’d think long and hard about it.
Am I missing something.....Most these media guys making their picks forget in game one, as close as it was, Boyd dropped a sure-handed touchdown, how often does that happen?
Am I missing something....Most these media guys making their picks forget in game one we had Chase just coming off injury and still put up 97 with a TD in the face of Reid who was talking trash!
Or what about missing our pass-catching tight end Hurst? Or our first string scoring RB who just put up huge numbers against Buffalo's vaunted defense in Mixon?
The homerun hitters are there. Chris Jones has never had a playoff sack and might get one or two against the Bengals this time around with a banged up line. But I have a feeling Jackson Carmen is gonna be running Clark over. If we can not dig ourselves a hole this game in the first half we might be breaking this game open before halftime.
Chiefs are out of their element talking smack (Willie Gay, Chris Jones). when they had Hill and Kelce (Hall of Famers) no one went over a hundred yards. We have had two Wr's go over a hundred against the Chiefs and almost got a third at 97. Perine of all people ran over 100 yards on the Chiefs. Al the weapons are there, just get it done. It's the Super Bowl that we want. One game at a time, take care of business. I sit in Chief's Kingdom territory and I can tell you from experience they are acting like they are the #3 seed and we are the #1....there's a reason they are scared. Get on them early and take the crown out of the game and shut down the run early and Reid will give up on it.
We are an extra point away from being the number one seed, remember that.
Doc, love reading your stuff but 80 bux a year is a lot. I think my enquirer with home delivery is 24 a month but thats a different animal. My athletic sub is down to 20 a year and my SI sub is like 30. Hoping you can keep pricing down if it comes to that.

I hope they win their next TWO games. But honestly, I'm just thrilled that they are contenders and we have a fun, exciting football team to watch!
