Paul, I hope you are feeling better and enjoying the rest of your trip. As a fan and subscriber, I have a request that I believe will be well received by your readers. Recently, past TMLs have been posted daily with the word “new” in the link with the background image. Would it be possible to just include the date originally published so we don’t have to keep opening old entries? I’m guessing this is done to drive up numbers, but several of my friends who are also readers would appreciate the change

Could 1 or 2 of those run plays have been an audible?

According to The Athletic, the first one was and Zac threw his QB under the bus by saying so.

Sorry you are not feeling well doc.

Why do the Bengals keep hiring weak coaches that are Yes men and never rock the boat. Today Zach says he would make the same calls again. No accountability. I think the whole team and whole city would rally behind a coach that said “hey I blew it and didn’t give our teal a chance to put that game away. I will do better next time.”

It is the first week of October and already looking towards baseball season again!

In an alternate universe, Bengals do pass on second or third down in the OT possession and Burrow gets sacked for a 11 yard loss, moving them out of FG range. They try a 63 yard attempt anyway and Mac misses. Baltimore does what it did and scores the winning FG. Point is passing also carries risk. And remember, Zac called a pass on first down that Joe audible out of.

Our defense sucks big time and that is the reason we are at 1-4 and not 4-1.

“What is the point in having Burrow and Chase at their best if you don’t use them with the game in the balance?” I have to agree with this, Doc. And hey, I know you’re a huge Bengals fan, so remember, “there’s more to life than a friggin’ 🏈 football game. There’s golf ⛳️ to be played and tennis 🎾 to be served up.” Or in your case, enjoy Italy. Here’s to better sleeping and breathing my friend! And WHODEY ANYWAY! - 🐅🧒🏻

Send Doc some of those nose strip thingies you gave me that opened up my nasal passages and silenced the non-mufflered Mack trucks that sneak into my nose at night and go driving around like 10 Lamar Jacksons on speed. I picked up a box the other day at CVS that supposedly target allergies. Haven't tried em yet. Waiting on a new decibel meter. I broke my old one when I blew past 110 dBs the other night in a raucous dream involving Taylor Swift, a couple of Russian dancing bears wearing tu-tus, and an elk with Barry Bonds head on it. Life is short; savor it before dreams like this become an welcomed replacement for Peacock and bad Bengal games.

We have a $55 MILLION QB and two soon to be $30+ MILLION +WR. Our O line is playing 3rd stringers at tackle. Why have that talent if you aren’t going to trust it to win a MUST WIN game?

The Bengals have regressed every season under Zac’s leadership. Time to recognize and admit it. Which means he’ll be here forever. At least until Joe gets fed up and does a Carson Palmer.

The combination of poor preseason preparation and abysmal play calling are Zac’s calling card. I picked the Bengals to go 9-8 after the first preseason game. They’ll need to go 8-4 to get there. Maybe they can do that. It just won’t get them in the playoffs.

Do you feel any better? I stopped watching the Bengals due to Taylor's play calling and coaching, so sI'm glad I missed this fiasco. It appears that Burrow and the offense played their hearts out until they were handicapped by Zac's play calling at the end. They could have also tried the field goal on third down so they had an extra play if there were problems. Coaching and poor drafting of defense caused this loss and make this another disappointing season. Hopefully, the Bengals will follow the Reds lead and get a new coach who believes in conditioning and being ready to start the season. Now we need to look forward to college basketball and spring training.

I agree with you, Doc. Hell, I even agree with Aghotte. The only thing that I would add, is he not only had the best quarterback on the field, at least in terms of throwing the ball, but also had the two best wide receivers on the field… Why not run the ball three times, depend on a good kick from 50 yards with a shaky hold! Game made me miserable.

Supposedly elite QB and WR and you run the ball 3 times. Maybe the only thing this team is missing is an elite coach. Mike Tomlin would have won 2 Super Bowls with that duo and would have a very capable defense too. Window may close soon if they hold on to Taylor.

I think the window has closed.

Burrow lost the game. Ball in hand to win. Didn’t get it done. Period.

Yes he called a bad game at the end but … Joe Burrow s interception when they could’ve iced the game or maybe bad snap and hold on potential game winning FG cost them the game as well …. Life goes on … sorry about the bad sinus that’s a bigger tragedy flying all the way to Italy to endure that ….
