I have no problem admitting I am wrong when I'm pretty sure things can work themselves out in the best way possible! This is great!!

Perine Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live downtown Cincy with my wife and dog and it was CRAZY, in a good way. Downtown Cincy became one gigantic tailgate party. Strangers hugging strangers, Who Dey chants echoing through the streets; what a time to be a Bengals' fan!

Monday Morning: More disrespect from ESPN. Vinettes on the Bengals were headlined about Mahomes' loss, not Bengal's win. They treat us as a flash in the pan. It makes me angry that our team doesn't get the credit or respect when it is due...however, the Team likes to fly under the radar. Pittsburg was on the "Top 10" for flattening a tackler in their game. And, of course, it's all about the "Cowboys". So, consider the Source, I say.

Wasn’t it Travis Kelce who fumbled?

Perine hits those holes with authority. Mixon could learn a thing or two about that. I love him, but he dances around too much sometimes. Maybe him sitting out isn't a bad thing?

A really great team win. I watched every snap (except for a couple while getting laundry out of the dryer). Romo and Nantz are a pleasure to listen to. Nobody will top Madden and Summerall, or Olsen and Enberg, but these guys are the best team in the biz today.

Peter King is, to borrow a phrase from my Dad, full of prunes.

I worry that Brown insists Mixon go back in...and he gets his 1 to 3 yard runs...and no first downs. that could be a difference maker if one cog isn't connected.

Perhaps Mixon learned to hit that hole while he was out? Let's hope so! :)

UhOh! Just like I was afraid of...Mixon returns tomorrow...just like that, ready or not. He'd better prove he can gt those first downs. I just don't get it...especially against the Brown's whom we can't seem to beat...and maybe Perine would be the difference maker. We'll see, but it doens't feel right to me. I hope Mixon proves me wrong. I only remember his one shiny day the week before his injury kept him out.

I guess we were wrong about Mixon. He had a good day! haha!

I do hope so, Greg, but they have two very different running styles. Mixon tries to fly and usually gets swatted immediately. Perine takes them on like a Toro and can change directions very quickly and makes his own path as he clears the way. Check out his physic compared to Mixon...and his history of "training" since he was a kid.

So glad you're writing about Cincy sports still. I have a subscription from your former employer but it's not the same since you left. Are you going to be writing about the Reds too?

Look forward to your columns in my inbox….I too just retired

Have enjoyed your writing immensely for years

Great writing. You poke and then you stay neutral. You intertwine the facts to get one’s attention and then you end with a statement that keeps the reader thinking. I always enjoy reading what you write!

An NFL agnostic, I went over for the second half with my rabid sister and bananas younger nephew. (BIL & older nephew were at the game.) And you know what? It was really enjoyable to watch (Tony Romo notwithstanding). Not just for the company. Not just because I was happy for my deeply invested family. But because Pratt stripped Kelce. Because Ossai grabbed Mahommes' ankle from behind. Because Perrine put his head down and went north-south. Because Higgins made catches over the middle in traffic. Because nobody played tight or like like it was too big for them. Because they knew they could win and they did. Because in the presser Burrow talked more about the points they left on the field and his o-line than gloating or offering a single "you guys" to the collected media who "disrespected" them. It was about belief, work, attention to detail, trust and expectations. And knowing there's more ahead. And that, Mobsters, is fun to watch.

I was at the game. It was electric, a play-off atmosphere. After Pratt stripped Kelce, you knew the Bengals would win. It is incredible how one person can change a culture.

Someone must have put a pea under Peter King's mattress when he lived in Cinti. He never mentions The Bengals in his articles (shocked not to see even a smidgen of a mention last week after the TN win) and in a recent article regarding older WRs that should be in the HOF, he never once mentioned Isaac Curtis. For all you youngsters, look up "The Isaac Curtis Rule", it's a real-thing, even today - you will not be disappointed...

If we could only eliminate the “Hi I’m Zac Taylor and I just have to show you what a guru I am” plays that backfire 2-3 times a game in key situations, things would be easier. And I’ve never seen a WR look like he lost a pass in the lights… until today…

Yep, Opie can be Opie's worst enemy several times a game...however, that 3rd and 11 at the end was a gutsy (and excellent) call - freakin' Jekyl and Hyde at times...

That game was FLAT OUT FUN.

Winners don’t need attention from national media. Play the game, win, and the rest takes care of itself.

BTW - Top these games off with some "Joe Football Ice Cream!! Pick it up at UDF or Krogers! You'll be glad you did!!! Great way to Celebrate!!

I am now a few years away from, but fast approaching get-off-my-lawn-guy status. Having grown up in the good ole days of Kenny and Boomer but also trudged through Akili and Klingler, I am just filled with gratitude with what I am seeing from Joe Inevitable and the crew. The Super Bowl Hangover I feel is a very real thing and I really just wanted the Men to stay relevant this season. So far they are exceeding my pre-season expectations.

I couldn’t agree more that this years record is so much more impressive. Really impressed with the poise and moxie that Joe plays with and has that confidence proliferate through the team.

Culture is such a real thing. Living out in the desert I’m first-hand witness to another Heisman- winning #1 overall pick that doesn’t “get it” and doesn’t elevate his team. Tune in to any of the current Hard Knocks episodes to see what a difference intangibles can make.

Imagine what our record could be if The Bengals OL played at least a quarter of the first two preseason games AND our stud QB hadn't had a major internal medical event. You can't change the latter, but you can change the former.

I'll say it - the QB for the team out in the desert is the most over-rated QB in the league - please change my mind...

You forgot to insert “over-paid” but that’s ok you won’t get too much pushback from me 😂

Proof that making the ProBowl and Rookie Of The Year doesn’t really mean much.
