Welcome back Doc. An oasis of sanity in the desert. Two things:
1) Apparently the Aquino experiment is not over. It shows you how bad they are when a player they DFA'd this year (not claimed by any MLB team) is now back starting in RF. I don't care how good his arm is, He can't hit and from what I've heard is unwilling to change his approach at the plate. The beat goes on...
2)TV- It was a short 7 episode run but set up for another season. Old Man starring Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow and Amy Brenneman. Well written spy drama fairly entertaining. Aired on FX, I think it is available on HULU. As you would say Check it out.
So happy you are back! When I talked to you at To Kill a Mockingbird and you said no more blogging either I was really bummed. I decided to subscribe to the Athletic but I’ve barely read it. It’s not the same! You made my day today!
I don’t watch a lot of tv but I do have a recommendation for a good read: Drunkard by Neil Steinberg. He’s a Sun Times columnist. His writing reminds me of you.
