I'm with you on your JD Souther pick. Also on his "You're Only Lonely" album is the sad and poignant "Last in Love" written with Glen Frey. I've been a longtime fan of Nicolette's voice. It's too bad most only know her from "Lotta Love." She did so much more than that one hit in her short life. Her voice was Linda Ronstadt caliber, IMO. Give a listen to her on "Let Me Go Love." A duet with Michael McDonald who wrote it. Anybody who ever had a tough breakup will need a Kleenex.

Your dad inadvertently helped you wrestle at 98 pounds a few years later. Good thing he didn't fatten you up!

You can always learn to make food. I've even managed to grow my own basil and produce a pesto that's much tastier than anything bought in the store. And I'm a modern cro magnon in his later years.

Oh I understand baseball rules and never mentioned a reliever only pitching to two batters. I said a pitcher that struck out two of the three batters he faced.

These Silent Woods by Kimi Cunningham Grant. The Maid by Nita Prose you may like because it centers around a girl who is differently abled who is framed for a murder. I’m not finished with it but hope it ends with the good people in her life helping her out of this predicament.

I can relate, kind of…My mom who just passed 6 months ago at age 94, had 5 children. She worked diligently to teach her boys, and there were 3 of us…not to be like Dad (her words.). And, we learned…or else. Things like cook, wash dishes, and clothes, make beds, etc. And, when I met the girl who would become my wife, I was determined to be THAT kind of husband. And, I tried! Guess what? She was and is “an old fashioned “ girl who believes she should take care of her husband and kids. After many discussion (re: major arguments,) husband here decided it wasn’t worth the fight and gave in. 46 years later, I’m pretty helpless without her. I can cook and do all the necessary things but, truthfully, she’s happier if I don’t. Now, I know this explanation is coming off as a cop out by just another lazy man but, although it is probably true now, I swear I DID SINCERELY TRY TO BE DIFFERENT.
