Beautiful project! I feel this is a need in each and every school. I've always felt that group sports teams, like basketball, baseball and football form some of the great friendships. I believe it is easier for boys as they are generally involved in all of these sports. Of course there is soccer and baseball, and sometimes basketball for women in most schools. This is all good. The main thing is creating a team working towards the same end and their friendships will take place. I pray you can keep this great project going. The way things are now someone will probably try to find a why instead of a why not. Keep moving forward and stay motivated. I love this idea! Perhaps a seminar for teachers of different schools could be started to get the word out. I knew a teacher in New York who took inner-city kids, along with some of her class to summer camps in the mountains for the same purpose. They always reached the same wonderful results of understanding and friendships. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing the information on PROJECT TRUST. As a now retired teacher then administrator, I can see where an organization like that is certainly valuable. Heck, as a shy stuttering kid of the very early 60’s, I can see where it could have helped kids like me. I wish you continued success.
Nice work, Jim, and Fightin’ Quaker greetings from the class of ‘95!
The lessons their mother and I tried to instill in our kids were do your best, strive to do the right thing the first time, and never make others feel “less than.” They’re 26, 22 and 19 today, so hopefully those ethics took.
Thank you Jim--this Project sounds amazing!
How can we support Project Trust?
