I've enjoyed your work since we were kids. We're OGs now and it's remarkable how well you've aged. Each TML seems better than the last. You definitely have not lost your fastball. Like you, I root for me. Subscribing gives me a nice way to show I root for you too.
I'm in. Mrs. Thinwallet will be reading on my computer. 1 Household account only. Seems like about the right price. I mentioned $100/yr when we spoke about this last year. Is it $8/month or $80/yr ? I'm paying for The Athletic on your and other mobsters recommendations and am not feeling the value yet. Will hang awhile longer but did find Kareem's blog on Substack and am a paying customer of that. Dropped the Washington Post in August so I've freed up some media purchasing power. Glad you're going to get some dough for your efforts. Maybe as much as Hickory.
Ok you're talking to an $80 year old here. How do I pay🤪😂. I've been reading you forever, literally. My best friend , my late husband who was a basketball coach, told me I would like reading you...he was never wrong..ask referees who had his games!
Hey, Doc. It's Jim Reeves here. Forty-plus years as baseball writer and columnist for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. We crossed paths at a World Series or three years ago (I covered 29 of them). Have always admired your writing and when Mark Whicker recommended TML some months ago, I climbed aboard for the ride. I have nothing vested in The Men or Run DLC, but have enjoyed your refreshing approach to the column. Just wanted to let you know you have at least one reader down here in Texas and I'll keep following your posts. Subscriber? I'll have to think about that. Already subscribing to so many news/sports outlets it's hard to keep up. Happy to hear you'll be keeping it up though. Keep having fun and I'll keep reading.
I totally support what you are doing, but I confess to being totally ignorant about the economics here. Why couldn't you sell a couple banner ads which would seem to provide some income. I guess the sub-stack biz model doesn't support that/? Carry on and I will likely follow but my ability to pay subscriptions for good journalism are running out of steam.
Substack doesn't allow ads. I hear you re paying. I guess if you choose smartly, you'll only get the stuff you want and (hopefully) you won't pay as much. Thanks for reading.
Just enrolled for the year. Can't wait to see the new content. I responded when you left the Enquirer, I was gonna miss my " Morning miracle " ! As a long time umpire, I called them as I saw them. Glad that you do too ! Good luck on your new format/adventure.

You were right, Doc. The show Hijack isn’t an ordinary hijack show. Halfway through it and it’s getting really good.
I KNEW Mr. Thinwallet would get us somewhere along the line!! (Just kidding! I'll be subscribing)!
Thank you
Best $80 I have spent in a long time. On board, Doc. 👍👍
Very grateful

No brainer for someone who reads reacts and enjoys TML as much as I have over the years. Thank you for continuing to provide!
I’m in! Thx
Glad to be here. It's about time you asked for a few shekels instead of continuing to work for free!

Thanks, Reeve-o! Means much coming from a peer. Kurt Iverson is on here, too,
Love it!

Best of luck on the paywall!
Your writing makes me smile and sometimes even laugh out loud. I’m in. Good luck and thank you for sharing your talents!
