With 12:55 to play in a game Buffalo led by a point, two NFL referees made the mother of all judgment calls.

Fourth-and-1, ball on the Chiefs 41. Josh Allen, Bills QB, dives left. One side judge runs to where he thinks the ball should be placed. Operative word, thinks. It seems to indicate he believes Allen has run for a 1st down.

On the other side of the pile (the bottom of your TV screen) another judge runs in. He takes a different path, one that seems to indicate Allen has not run for a 1st down.
