The Bengals lost badly in Nashville. They’re 1-3 and of all the teams starting an NFL season 1-3, 14 percent have made the playoffs. Given that the Bengals aspirations are somewhat taller than simply partnering with the postseason, you have to feel the local situation is getting dire. Then again, in the suddenly sad AFC North, hope springs eternal.
