For three quarters, the Bengals did everything but win the game. With a plan seemingly drawn on a soggy cocktail napkin, they kept the ball away from the Chiefs while putting just enough points on the board. Jake Browning was auditioning for Caretaker QB O’ The Year.
At one point in the 2nd quarter, the Bengals had run 35 plays to KC’s 10 and led, 17-7.
Then everything cratered.
