(University of North Carolina)
*
Bill Belichick doesn’t know what he’s gotten himself into, and the rest of us can only guess. Belichick will leave the pro game to work the procollege circuit as the head football coach at the University of Michael Jordan. Everyone thinks they know how this will turn out. No one has the faintest idea.
Media people are making it sound as if Belichick is pushing a blocking sled up Kilimanjaro.
As if being an unrivaled NFL head coach is insufficient prep to coach a college juggernaut like North Carolina, which hasn’t won an ACC title since 1980. Those who somehow have lost track of Deion Sanders — or Pete Carroll or Jimmy Johnson — say the rest of us don’t understand how much harder it is to win in college football than in the NFL.
Such BS.
