WHAT TO DO WITH 19-year-old William Hendon, aka Backflip Man, the guy who ran onto the outfield at the Small Park this week?
First we need to ask why anyone would do that. We all get our 15 minutes of fame, at least according to Andy Warhol. Some of us have a choice how to use the time. Mr. Hendon chose to spend his famous 15 running around like a tool.

I’m not one of those people who tsk-tsk at the sight of some loser running onto the pitch. I like it when people make fools of themselves, especially when they do it on purpose. Think of the Three Stooges or early Steve Martin, playing banjo with the fake arrow through his head. Stupidity is the point.
I enjoy seeing cops/security people slam the perps to the turf. But there have to be better consequences to what shall forever be known in these parts as Pulling a Hendon.
